Suspect Known As “Azad” Arrested In Mersin Over Alleged Threats And Attacks On Car Dealerships
A man known by the code name “Azad,” who is accused of threatening numerous car dealerships, being involved in shooting incidents, and extorting money through blackmail, has been arrested in Mersin, according to information reported by Haber Kıbrıs.
The suspect, whose real name is reported to be Sidar, had been sought for a long time through a joint operation by the Turkish Cypriot and Turkish police authorities. It was stated that investigations are continuing into his possible links to armed attacks and threat incidents that took place in Northern Cyprus.
Another suspect believed to be part of the same criminal network, known by the code name “Emmi,” remains at large. Authorities suspect that this individual may be in either Dubai or Turkey.
The investigation into the case is ongoing.
