In a statement issued under the project, which is implemented in partnership with the Cyprus Bar Association, the Green Peace Movement announced that the Environmental Rights Advisory Unit has officially begun providing services to enhance the struggle for environmental rights in Cyprus.
Project officials stated that citizens are “not alone” in the face of violations against nature. Through a dedicated application form, members of the public can report:
-
urgent or ongoing environmental problems in their areas, and
-
practices and negligence that damage the environment,
and seek support through the system.
It was noted that applications submitted to the advisory unit will be evaluated and that “preliminary legal guidance will be provided, along with direction on steps that can be taken based on environmental rights.”
Officials described the aim of the unit as “expanding solidarity against environmental destruction, defending environmental rights, and strengthening the voice of citizens.”
The application form can be accessed at the following address:

Officials also conveyed the message that “defending nature is not a choice, it is a right,” calling on the public to unite under the slogan “Together for Solidarity with Green.”
