CTP’s Motion For Early Elections On April 26 Rejected By Majority Vote
The Republican Turkish Party’s (CTP) request for the urgent discussion of its motions calling for early elections on April 26 was rejected by majority vote at the parliament.
The General Assembly of the Republic’s Assembly convened under the chairmanship of Speaker Ziya Öztürkler with a legislative agenda, during which the Republican Turkish Party’s (CTP) request for the urgent discussion of its motions calling for early elections on April 26 was rejected by majority vote.
The session, which began at around 13:30, included on its agenda the Courts (Amendment) Bill and the Audit Court Committee’s report titled “Audit Court Inspection Report on Water Engines and Wells Belonging to Yayla Irrigation Enterprises Operating Under the Department of Agriculture of the Ministry of Agriculture and Natural Resources of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.”
The General Assembly also took up CTP’s request for the urgent consideration of its motions proposing early elections on April 26. The motions submitted by CTP were put to a vote and were rejected by a majority of lawmakers.
