Showers Expected on Wednesday and Thursday
The Meteorology Department announced that temperatures will drop from Wednesday, falling to between 13 and 16 degrees Celsius, with scattered showers expected on Wednesday and Thursday. Strong and occasionally stormy winds are also forecast for midweek.
According to the weekly weather forecast covering February 24 to March 2, the region will be affected by a low-pressure system and a cold, humid air mass in the upper atmosphere.
Weather conditions are expected to be partly cloudy tomorrow. On Wednesday, skies will be partly cloudy with local showers. Thursday will be partly cloudy with scattered showers or thunderstorms until midday, followed by clearer conditions in the afternoon. The rest of the week will be partly cloudy to mostly clear.
Maximum temperatures will range between 17 and 20 degrees Celsius inland and along the coast tomorrow, then decline to around 13–16 degrees for the remainder of the week.
Winds will blow moderately, occasionally strong, from southern and western directions in the first days of the period, shifting to northerly directions later in the week. Stormy winds are expected on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
