Temperatures Drop by 4 Degrees from Today, Showers Expected
The Meteorology Department has announced that temperatures will fall to between 13 and 16 degrees Celsius starting today, with scattered showers expected today and on Thursday. Strong and occasionally stormy winds will also affect the region during the middle of the week.
According to the Meteorology Department’s weekly weather forecast covering the period from February 24 to March 2, winds will blow at moderate strength and at times strongly during the first days of the period, while on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday they are expected to be locally stormy.
Throughout the forecast period, the region will generally remain under the influence of low pressure and a cold and humid air mass in the upper atmosphere.
Tomorrow’s weather will be partly cloudy to slightly cloudy. On Wednesday, conditions will be slightly cloudy at first, becoming partly cloudy with scattered showers in some areas. Thursday will be partly cloudy with local showers or thunderstorms until noon, turning slightly cloudy in the afternoon. For the rest of the week, the weather will be partly cloudy to slightly cloudy.
Maximum temperatures will range between 17 and 20 degrees Celsius in inland areas and along the coast tomorrow, and between 13 and 16 degrees Celsius for the remainder of the week.
Winds will generally blow from the south and west during the first days of the period, and from northerly directions on the following days, at moderate strength and at times strong. Locally stormy winds are expected on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
