Court Issues Ektam Ruling: Injunction Granted Against All Unlawful Dismissals
Dev-İş announced that on the 26th day of the Ektam resistance, the court reviewed injunction requests, granting an injunction against all unlawful dismissals until March 12. The statement emphasized that attempts to break the strike by bringing in outside workers have also been halted by the court’s injunction.
The union highlighted that this legally affirms the legitimacy of their struggle and pledged to continue the fight until the Collective Bargaining Agreement is signed. Dev-İş called on the employer to resolve all issues at the negotiation table, noting that Ektam workers are simply seeking their constitutional right to unionize.
The union also expressed gratitude to its lawyers Eda Aşan, Serkan Mesutoğlu, Cansu Nazlı, and Şefik Aşçıoğluları for their efforts.
