Erhurman Responds to Ertugruloglu: I Will Continue Speaking the Language of Peace

Ertugruloglu had earlier said that the president “needs to know which country’s president he is,” in remarks made during an appearance on Kibris Postasi TV.

In a statement addressing those comments, Erhurman said it is well known that he and the foreign minister do not share the same worldview or style of political language.

“My use of the language of peace appears to have been considered excessive,” Erhurman said, adding that he would nevertheless continue to speak in the language of reason and peace.

He also noted that although Ertugruloglu frequently directs accusations toward him in public statements, communication between the Presidency and the Foreign Ministry continues within the framework of state responsibility and institutional seriousness.
