Weekly Traffic Report: 64 Accidents, 22 Injured
Between March 9 and 15, a total of 64 traffic accidents were reported across Northern Cyprus, resulting in 22 injuries, according to the Police General Directorate’s weekly traffic report. During the same period, 291 vehicles were removed from traffic and eight drivers were arrested.
Of the 64 accidents, 16 resulted in injuries while 48 caused property damage only. The total reported damage was 4,748,200 TL. The main causes of accidents included speeding (23), careless driving (9), failing to stop at intersections (19), tailgating (10), and other factors (3).

During the same week, nationwide traffic inspections covered 18,521 drivers, resulting in 3,048 legal actions. In addition to the 291 vehicles removed from traffic, eight drivers were arrested for violations.
