Speaking in a live connection from the airport, Üstel said the visit would take place at the invitation of Turkish Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz and would include the signing of the annual economic and financial cooperation agreement, typically concluded in March or April.

Üstel noted that since taking office, the government has signed around three such protocols, enabling investments totaling nearly 40 billion TL. He said these funds had been used to deliver on commitments made to the public.

He added that infrastructure projects dating back 15 years had been completed over the past three years and reiterated that the government had fulfilled its promises.

The prime minister said the new protocol would focus on infrastructure, energy, and economic support, particularly in response to economic challenges stemming from tensions in the Middle East. He noted that support measures would include long-term, low-interest loans and assistance for sectors such as industry, tourism, and small businesses.

Üstel also highlighted plans to address the country’s energy issues במסגרת the agreement.

Following the signing of the protocol, he said the allocated funds would be rapidly directed toward public use and distributed across sectors. He added that the public would be briefed upon the delegation’s return from Ankara.
