Arıklı described the protests as “organized,” stating: “It’s clear who is coming. Workers from CTP municipalities are brought in and stacked here. They claim, ‘The people don’t want you.’ But aren’t we brought here by the people? Can anyone just gather people and say, ‘The public doesn’t want you’?”

He also alleged that municipal officers were involved in guiding protesters into Parliament. “Frontline officers are present. You let protesters into Parliament, and CTP MPs are directing them. This is not right. You are violating parliamentary immunity, then accusing the government of being ‘constitutionally blind,’” Arıklı said.

Arıklı warned the opposition about the potential political consequences of such tactics: “You claim you will come to power tomorrow. What will you do if the same methods are used against you?”

On the economic front, Arıklı highlighted the strain on public finances, citing the global crisis and the impact of regional instability. He noted that borrowing for salary payments was necessary and that rising cost-of-living pressures were affecting consumption and household income, justifying the government’s precautionary measures.
