Roadworks Begin on Mountain Road Between Acapulco Junction and Beşparmak Bufavento Restaurant
The Highways Department has announced that road construction works have begun on the Mountain Road route between the Acapulco Junction and Beşparmak Bufavento Restaurant, urging drivers to exercise caution and reduce speed.
In a statement, the department said works on the section of the Mountain Road connecting the Nicosia–Famagusta junction, Değirmenlik, and Kyrenia–Esentepe junction have started as of today.
Drivers were advised to drive carefully and slowly for their own safety and the safety of others, and to comply with all traffic signs and instructions until further notice.
The statement added:
“Road construction works have begun today on the main road section between kilometres 8+900 and 19+300 on the Nicosia–Famagusta junction / Değirmenlik / Kyrenia–Esentepe junction (Mountain Road) route.
During the roadworks, drivers using this route are kindly requested to drive with caution and at reduced speed for the safety of life and property, and to comply with traffic signs and instructions until further notice.”
