The case, which gained attention following allegations that a woman known as “Sandy” was sexually abused as a minor by a former judge and claims of a high-level network operating in southern Cyprus, has continued to deepen.

According to reports, lawyer Nikos Kliridis confirmed that his brother, former Attorney General Kostas Kliridis, became involved after he received death threats linked to the case. Speaking publicly, he said he felt under serious threat, took extensive security measures and informed his brother of the situation.

Journalist and author Makarios Drusiotis had earlier claimed that Kostas Kliridis intervened after Nikos Kliridis was threatened via messages allegedly linked to a senior judicial figure. Following the intervention, the threats reportedly ceased.

Meanwhile, the authenticity of the messages is being examined by Europol.

Separate reports also point to conflicting claims regarding Sandy’s personal history, including family details and past allegations, with police investigations challenging parts of her account. A newly released audio recording, reportedly capturing a conversation after her arrival in Germany, has added another layer to the unfolding case.
