Addressing opposition demands for snap polls, Üstel stressed that the government’s current priorities are economic stability and ongoing development projects under the financial cooperation protocol signed with Turkey.

He noted that major investments are being implemented under the agreement and said the government remains focused on delivering planned projects.

Responding to criticism over the economy, Üstel argued that measures had been taken to protect purchasing power, pointing to increases in the minimum wage and public sector salaries. He also claimed that both employment and the number of businesses have increased in recent years.

Rejecting the opposition’s economic assessment, Üstel said: “We have taken all necessary measures to ensure economic stability.”

Turning to the election debate, the Prime Minister reiterated: “Do not rush. Elections will be held when their time comes,” dismissing calls for early polls.

He also referred to issues surrounding entry bans to Turkey, saying the matter should not be used for political purposes and stressing that it is being handled through diplomatic channels.
