In a statement issued on May 12, International Nurses Day, Rogers said the shortage of nurses has become one of the most critical problems facing the country’s health services.

She called for the urgent passage of the Health Services Department Law and for the immediate launch of paramedic recruitment to strengthen emergency response capacity.

Rogers also extended her congratulations to nurses working day and night under difficult conditions, praising their dedication and sacrifice.

Emphasising the need for sustainable reform, she said medium- and long-term human resources planning in healthcare has become essential to ensure the system can continue to function effectively.
