In a statement shared on X, Keçeli said the preparations were finalized on May 11 within the framework of confidence-building measures agreed since the normalization talks began in 2022.

He added that technical and bureaucratic work concerning the opening of the shared border between the two countries is still ongoing.

Keçeli said the new arrangement will allow goods travelling from Turkey to Armenia through a third country — or vice versa — to officially list “Armenia/Turkey” as the final destination or point of origin.

He also stated that Turkey would continue contributing to the development of economic relations and regional cooperation in the South Caucasus, describing the current period as a “historic opportunity” to strengthen lasting peace and prosperity in the region.
