Bedbug Infestation Detected At Old Prison, Section Evacuated
A bedbug infestation has been identified at the Old Prison facility, prompting the evacuation of the affected section.
Approximately 30 inmates in Section C were relocated after the infestation was detected, while disinfection and pest control operations were launched immediately.
According to information obtained, the issue was identified in one section of the prison, which currently houses a total of 137 inmates. Authorities responded by clearing the area and initiating urgent spraying and cleaning procedures.
A similar bedbug problem had also been reported in April 2025 at the New Central Prison, raising renewed concerns over hygiene and maintenance conditions in correctional facilities.
