CTP Leader Voices Solidarity with CHP’s Özgür Özel
Republican Turkish Party (CTP) leader Sıla Usar İncirli called Republican People’s Party (CHP) leader Özgür Özel to receive information on recent developments and convey messages of solidarity, within the framework of their joint cooperation under the Socialist International and the Party of European Socialists.
During the conversation between the two leaders, emphasis was placed on the importance of continuing the struggle for democracy, the rule of law, human rights, and social justice on the basis of shared values. It was stated that the strengthening of this struggle would be a shared gain not only for Turkey and Northern Cyprus, but also for the region.
The Ankara Regional Court of Appeals 36th Civil Chamber ruled in the CHP congress case that Özgür Özel and the party leadership be temporarily removed from office, and that Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu and his leadership team take over the party administration.
