Part of Nicosia–Kyrenia Road Closed Until 30 June Due to Works
A section of the Nicosia–Kyrenia main road between the İrsen Küçük Flyover Junction and the Gönyeli Roundabout has been closed to traffic in the direction of Nicosia as of today due to roadworks.
The Roads Department said the works will continue until 30 June and urged drivers to use alternative routes and comply with traffic signs and instructions.
According to the statement, the two lanes in the direction of Nicosia will remain closed due to ongoing construction and maintenance works under the TRNC Highway Master Plan.
The two lanes in the Kyrenia-bound direction will be used in a controlled manner for both incoming and outgoing traffic.
During this period, alternative access will be provided via the İrsen Küçük Northern Bypass Road.
Drivers were also urged to drive carefully and slowly on this section of the road for safety reasons.
