The US military has announced that it shot down Iranian drones, marking the latest development after conducting strikes the previous day targeting radar systems on islands in the Strait of Hormuz.

Iran’s Foreign Ministry accused Washington of violating a ceasefire agreement and undermining more than three months of mediation efforts aimed at de-escalation.

Meanwhile, Pakistan’s Interior Minister delivered what was described as an “important message” to Iran’s Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei, conveyed by Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff and Prime Minister.

On the Lebanon front, an Israeli airstrike targeting the Lebanese army killed two officers and one soldier, reshaping dynamics in southern Lebanon. The strike came shortly after an agreement that envisaged a phased Israeli withdrawal and the deployment of the Lebanese army in the area.

The timing of the attack also coincided with Lebanese Army Commander General Rudolf Haykal’s visit to Pakistan at the invitation of Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff, Field Marshal Asim Munir.
