According to Cypriot media reports, police have arrested four suspects aged 42, 44, 45 and 49 in connection with allegations of fraud, threats and money laundering. The suspects are expected to appear before the Larnaca District Court.

The case reportedly began after the woman filed a complaint regarding a disputed property transaction, which authorities say led investigators to uncover suspected wider criminal operations.

Police sources cited in reports said the suspects are believed to have collected money from the complainant through threats between 2021 and 2024. It was also reported that two of the suspects are businessmen.

The individuals face multiple charges, including participation in a criminal organisation, conspiracy, abduction and unlawful deprivation of liberty, as well as extortion for financial gain.
