One Arrested Over Labour Department Website Hack
A 20-year-old man was arrested after allegedly gaining unauthorized access to the Labour Department’s website and obtaining data from the system, police said.
According to a statement from the police press office, the incident took place in Nicosia in April 2026, when Z.B. (20) was found to have unlawfully accessed the Labour Department’s website and obtained information contained within it.
Following a police investigation launched after the incident came to light, the suspect was identified and taken into custody.
The investigation is ongoing.
