Temperatures Expected to Rise to 37 Degrees
Meteorological authorities have said that air temperatures are expected to rise to as high as 37 degrees Celsius.
According to the Meteorology Department’s forecast covering 23–29 June, the region will generally be under the influence of a low-pressure system and a relatively warm and humid air mass.
Weather conditions are expected to remain mostly clear and slightly cloudy, while skies will turn partly cloudy during midday hours on Wednesday.
Maximum temperatures are forecast to reach 34–37 degrees Celsius in inland areas and 30–33 degrees along the coast.
Winds are expected to blow mainly from the south and west at moderate strength, becoming locally strong on Tuesday and Wednesday.
