32,000 Three-Letter Licence Plates Issued in One Year
A total of 32,000 vehicles have been registered with three-letter licence plates in the year since the new numbering system was introduced.
The first three-letter plate was sold for TL250,000 at a public auction held with a starting bid of TL24,000, exactly one year ago.
According to a Kıbrıs Postası report published in November 2025, around 12,000 three-letter plates had been issued at that time. The total has since increased to 32,000.
Licence plate series beginning with the letters A through L are currently in use.
