New Minimum Wage to Be Decided on July 16

The Minimum Wage Determination Commission will set the second minimum wage of 2026 at its next meeting on July 16, Hür-İş Secretary-General Ali Yeltekin announced following the commission's second round of talks.

The commission met for the second time to discuss a new minimum wage at the Ministry of Labour and Social Security.

The meeting, which began at 10:25 a.m., was attended by Labour and Social Security Minister Oğuzhan Hasipoğlu, Hür-İş Secretary-General Ali Yeltekin representing employees, and Sercan Görgüner Bahçeci representing the Cyprus Turkish Employers' Association.

No new wage figure was announced during the meeting.

The commission had previously set the first minimum wage of 2026 at TL 52,738 net per month and TL 60,618 gross.
