Net Minimum Wage Raised To 61,677 TL

The commission concluded its third meeting, held to determine the second minimum wage of the year.

Speaking after the meeting at the Ministry of Labour and Social Security, Labour and Social Security Minister Oguzhan Hasipoglu said the new minimum wage was approved by a majority vote, with the support of the government and workers' representatives.

Hasipoglu said the officially announced 16.95 per cent cost-of-living increase had been fully reflected in the new wage, adding that the government would continue working to protect the purchasing power of employees.

Under the new minimum wage:

• Hourly wage: 409.49 TL
• Daily wage: 3,275.92 TL
• Monthly gross wage: 70,893 TL
• Monthly net wage: 61,677 TL

The employers' representatives opposed the increase and voted against the decision.

If an objection is lodged, a 10-day legal appeal period will begin. Once that process is completed, the commission's recommendation will be submitted to the Council of Ministers and will take effect after being published in the Official Gazette.

The first minimum wage of 2026 had been set at 60,618 TL gross and 52,738 TL net per month. Under the new decision, the minimum wage for the second half of the year will rise to 70,893 TL gross and 61,677 TL net.
