Temperatures to Reach 43C as Heatwave Persists

The Meteorological Department has forecast mainly clear skies with few clouds, becoming partly cloudy over inland areas around midday, as hot weather continues to grip the region.

According to the department's weekly weather bulletin covering July 23–29, a low-pressure system combined with a hot and relatively humid air mass will continue to affect the region on Friday, July 24.

The forecast indicates generally clear to partly cloudy conditions, with some cloud development expected over inland areas during the afternoon.

Daytime temperatures are expected to reach 36-38C inland and 33-35C along the coast, while temperatures could climb to 43C in some areas, the department warned.

Winds are expected to blow mainly from the south and west, light to moderate in strength, becoming strong in some areas at times.
