Temperatures Expected to Reach Around 41C
The Meteorological Department has forecast temperatures of around 41C between August 8 and 14, as the region remains under the influence of a low-pressure system and a hot, relatively humid air mass.
Weather is expected to remain clear or partly cloudy throughout the week, with fog possible in some areas during the mornings of August 8 and 10.
According to the department’s forecast, maximum temperatures are expected to range between 38C and 41C inland and between 33C and 36C along the coast.
Winds are expected to blow mainly from the south and west at moderate strength, becoming occasionally strong on Saturday and Sunday.
