Ercan Passenger Traffic Rises 8.90% in First Seven Months
Ercan Airport handled 3,378,959 passengers in the first seven months of 2026, while the number of aircraft arrivals and departures reached 22,447. Compared with the same period last year, passenger traffic increased by 8.90% and aircraft traffic by 9.05%.
According to T&T Airport Operations, a total of 3,378,959 passengers used Ercan Airport between January 1 and July 31, 2026. The number of aircraft landing and taking off during the same period stood at 22,447.
In the first seven months of 2025, Ercan Airport handled 3,102,581 passengers and 20,585 aircraft movements.
July Was Busiest Month
July was the busiest month of 2026, with 574,000 passengers using the airport and 3,654 aircraft arrivals and departures.
In July 2025, the airport recorded 512,105 passengers and 3,249 aircraft movements.
Passenger Traffic Up Most in January
The highest increase in passenger traffic was recorded in January, at 14.26%.
Monthly increases were:
- January: 14.26%
- February: 7.09%
- March: 11.83%
- April: 2.86%
- May: 9.82%
- June: 4.36%
- July: 12.25%
Aircraft Traffic Peaked in March
Aircraft traffic recorded its highest year-on-year increase in March, at 13.29%.
Monthly increases were:
- January: 10.94%
- February: 9.63%
- March: 13.29%
- April: 7.14%
- May: 7.14%
- June: 3.16%
- July: 12.47%
The figures show that both passenger and aircraft traffic at Ercan Airport continued to grow during the first seven months of 2026 compared with the same period last year.
