The Meteorology Department has announced that showers or thunderstorms are expected in some areas around midday on Friday and Saturday.
According to the weekly weather forecast covering August 13-19, the weather will be partly cloudy around midday on Friday and Saturday, with showers or thunderstorms expected in some areas.
The Meteorology Department said the region would be under the influence of a low-pressure system, with hot and relatively humid conditions on the first day of the period, followed by a cool and humid air mass in the upper atmosphere on the remaining days.
Tomorrow is expected to be clear and slightly cloudy, becoming partly cloudy around midday. On Friday, the weather will be clear and slightly cloudy, becoming partly cloudy around midday, with showers or thunderstorms possible in some inland areas.
Saturday is expected to be clear and slightly cloudy, becoming partly cloudy around midday, with showers or thunderstorms possible in some areas. The rest of the period is expected to be clear and slightly cloudy.
The highest temperatures will range between 36C and 39C inland and 31C and 34C along the coast.
Winds will generally be moderate from southerly and westerly directions, becoming occasionally strong towards the end of the period and on rainy days.
