The families of those still missing continued their anxious wait under tents set up at the entrance to Kyrenia Tourism Port.

The death toll rose to 14 after the body of another victim was recovered late yesterday. Search efforts are continuing without interruption to locate the 14 people still missing.

Search Efforts Continue Around the Clock

Search and rescue operations are being conducted on a 24-hour basis with the participation of the Turkish Navy vessels TCG Işın and TCG Alemdar.

Technical teams and underwater systems are searching around the wreck, which lies at a depth of approximately 554 metres.

Robotic systems are scanning the area around the wreck and points where access to the vessel may be possible. Teams are searching not only for the missing passengers but also for the vessel’s black box, which could provide crucial evidence in determining the cause of the disaster.

Maritime and aerial assets are also supporting the underwater operation. A total of nine vessels and 11 aircraft are currently involved in search and rescue efforts in the area.
