2kg of Drugs Found at Metehan, Suspect Arrested
Around 2kg of cannabis believed to be the Skunk variety was found in a vehicle crossing from South Cyprus into the TRNC at the Metehan crossing point in Nicosia.
According to police, officers from the Narcotics and Anti-Smuggling Directorate carried out an operation at the Metehan crossing point at around 3pm on September 7.
A search of the vehicle driven by O.Z.B. (M-26), which had crossed from the Republic of Cyprus into the TRNC, uncovered approximately 2kg of a substance believed to be Skunk-type cannabis. The substance was seized as evidence.
O.Z.B. was arrested in connection with the incident.
The police investigation is continuing.
