Üstel said the government was continuing to expand social housing projects across the country to help young people become homeowners, while also protecting producers’ livelihoods and supporting production.

‘We Are Fulfilling Our Promises One by One’

Üstel stressed that the government had relaunched social housing projects after a gap of nearly 30 years.

“After nearly 30 years, we have relaunched social housing projects and are fulfilling our promises one by one,” he said.

‘Applications for Social Housing Open Friday’

Üstel said online applications would open on Friday for social housing projects to be implemented in Dikmen, Çamlıbel and Esentepe in Kyrenia; Maraş in Famagusta; Alayköy and Haspolat in Nicosia; Dipkarpaz in İskele; and Bostancı in Güzelyurt.

He said applications would be submitted through the official website of the Ministry of Interior.

‘TL 607 Million to Be Paid to Producers Tomorrow’

Üstel said support for producers was also continuing, announcing that the total value of citrus products purchased from producers amounted to TL 828,132,545.

He said TL 607,148,950 of this amount would be paid tomorrow.

With the payment, approximately 75% of the producers’ outstanding payments will have been settled, Üstel said, adding that the remaining payments would be completed in October.

Üstel concluded:

“On the one hand, we are helping our young people become homeowners; on the other, we are standing by the hard work of our producers. Our government is working. Our people, young people, producers and all our sectors continue to benefit. We made a promise. We are delivering.”
