TAM Party Backs Harmancı in Nicosia, Kaya in Lefke

The Social Justice and Struggle Party (TAM Party) has announced its decisions on mayoral candidates in six more municipalities for the upcoming local elections. The party will support Mehmet Harmancı in Nicosia Turkish Municipality and Aziz Kaya in Lefke Municipality, while leaving mayoral nominations open in Güzelyurt and Yenierenköy-Dipkarpaz.

According to a statement issued by TAM Party, the party will support Mehmet Harmancı in Nicosia Turkish Municipality, Aziz Kaya in Lefke Municipality and Atalay Talaykurt in Yeniboğaziçi Municipality. TAM Party will select its own candidates for the Yeniboğaziçi Municipal Council.

The party said nominations would be left open in Güzelyurt Municipality and Yenierenköy-Dipkarpaz Municipality.

Previously Announced Municipalities

TAM Party had previously announced its positions and supported candidates in the following municipalities:

  • İskele Municipality: Hasan Sadıkoğlu
  • Değirmenlik-Akıncılar Municipality: Ali Karavezirler
  • Gönyeli-Alayköy Municipality: Hüseyin Amcaoğlu
  • Tatlısu Municipality: Hayri Orçan
  • Kyrenia Municipality: Murat Şenkul
  • LAÇ Municipality: Open
  • Dikmen Municipality: Selahattin Çöllo
  • Mehmetçik-Büyükkonuk Municipality: Cemil Sarıçizmeli
  • Çatalköy-Esentepe Municipality: Ceyhun Kırok
  • Geçitkale-Serdarlı Municipality: Halil Kasım
