Ataoğlu: 27-Year Wait Is Coming to an End as North Cyprus Gets State Theatre Building
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Tourism, Culture, Youth and Environment Fikri Ataoğlu has announced that the TRNC will once again have the State Theatre building it has been waiting for for years, saying, “The 27-year wait is coming to an end.”
Ataoğlu shared a post on social media about the State Theatre building.
“The 27-year wait is coming to an end… Our country is getting its theatre building,” Ataoğlu said, noting that the TRNC would once again have the State Theatre building it had been waiting for for years.
Ataoğlu said an important project befitting the country and its artists was being brought to life, and thanked his colleagues who had contributed to its implementation.
In his post, Ataoğlu said:

The Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus is once again getting the State Theatre building it has been waiting for for years.
I sincerely thank all my colleagues who have contributed to bringing this important project, worthy of our art, our artists and our country, to life.”
