Erhürman Heads to New York for Meetings With Guterres and Holguin
President Tufan Erhürman has travelled to New York to hold a series of meetings on the sidelines of the opening week of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly.
Erhürman departed from Ercan Airport for New York at 9:50 a.m. today. During his visit, he will meet with UN Secretary-General António Guterres and the UN Secretary-General’s Personal Representative for Cyprus, Maria Angela Holguin Cuellar.
Erhürman is expected to meet with Holguin Cuellar tomorrow and with Guterres on Saturday.
He will also hold a number of bilateral meetings in New York and is expected to return to Cyprus on Sunday at 7:55 p.m.
Erhürman was seen off at Ercan Airport by Speaker of Parliament Ziya Öztürkler, Minister of Public Works and Transport Faiz Sucuoğlu and other officials.
