Microchipping and Licensing for Dogs Begins in İskele
İskele Municipality has announced that the registration, microchipping and licensing of dogs in the district and surrounding villages will be carried out at designated dates and locations through October 20.
The program, launched to register, microchip and license dogs within the İskele Municipality area, began on Monday, September 21.
Working in cooperation with local veterinarians, İskele Municipality is carrying out the procedures for microchipping, registering and licensing dogs in İskele town and surrounding villages.
The program will continue according to the announced schedule until October 20, 2026. Dog owners are required to bring their dogs to the designated location on the specified date to complete the procedures.
PROCEDURES TO BE CARRIED OUT AT DESIGNATED LOCATIONS
Microchipping and licensing procedures will be carried out between 9 a.m. and noon.
The schedule announced by İskele Municipality is as follows:
- September 21-23: İskele-Bahçeler – Behind the Pensioners’ Association Building (Kışla Garden)
- September 24: Ötüken – Next to the Village Coffeehouse
- September 25: Kuzucuk – Next to the primary school building
- September 25: Aygün – Next to the Aygün Sports Club building
- September 29: Sınırüstü – Next to the Village Coffeehouse
- September 30: Boğaziçi – Next to the Village Coffeehouse
- October 1: Altınova – Next to the Village Coffeehouse
- October 2: Ağıllar – Next to the Mukhtar’s Office
- October 2: Topçuköy – Next to the Village Coffeehouse
- October 6: Ardahan – Next to the Village Coffeehouse
- October 7: Kaplıca-Mersinlik – Village Square
- October 8: Kurtuluş – Next to the Mukhtar’s Office
- October 9: Ergazi – Next to the Village Coffeehouse
- October 12: Kilitkaya – Next to the Village Coffeehouse
- October 13: Tuzluca – Village Square
- October 14: Kalecik – Next to the Mukhtar’s Office
- October 15-16: Boğaz-Boğaztepe – Behind Tatlı Petrol

LICENSES VALID UNTIL DECEMBER 31, 2026
The municipality said licenses issued following the microchipping procedure will remain valid until December 31, 2026, and must be renewed in January 2027.
İskele Municipality reminded residents that registering dogs is a legal obligation and called on all dog owners to complete the procedures at the designated dates and locations.
It warned that legal action would be taken against people who fail to register their dogs or otherwise comply with their legal obligations under the relevant legislation.
