Two Guns and Drugs Found at Nicosia Home

B.C.D., who was arrested on charges of unlawful possession of drugs, namely cannabis, cocaine and synthetic cannabinoids, as well as unlawful possession and carrying of firearms and explosives, was brought before a court in Nicosia.

Police gave evidence in court regarding the findings obtained during the investigation.

Police told the court that a search was conducted in the presence of B.C.D. at the residence where the suspect was staying in Nicosia between 7:45 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. on September 26, 2026.

During the search, police found and seized as evidence a 9mm Sig Sauer firearm with no serial number, along with its magazine containing seven 9mm rounds marked “MKE 23 9P.”

A 7.65mm Glock firearm was also found, with its magazine containing eight 7.65mm rounds marked “MKE 23 9P.”

Police additionally seized a precision scale believed to contain traces of drugs, approximately 20 grams of a substance believed to be cannabis, approximately 20 grams of a substance believed to be cocaine and approximately 150 grams of a substance believed to be synthetic cannabinoid.

Police said the suspect was arrested at the scene and had provided a voluntary statement. They said the statements made by B.C.D. needed to be verified and corroborated.

Police also requested three days in custody to allow the seized substances to be sent for analysis and the firearms to undergo ballistic examination.

After considering the evidence presented, Judge Nuray Nejdet ordered that B.C.D. remain in police custody for three days for investigative purposes.
