Üstel: Social Security Pensioners to Receive TL 40,000 Bonus in November

In a statement, Üstel also said the 10% salary increase previously promised to pensioners would be implemented from January 1, 2027, in addition to the cost-of-living increase.

Üstel said the bonus payment would be made in November as part of the 50th anniversary celebrations of the Social Security Institution.

“Regardless of who objects, we will continue to stand by our pensioners,” Üstel said.

He also reiterated his government’s commitment to implementing the 10% increase, saying it would be added to the cost-of-living adjustment and take effect on January 1, 2027.

Turning to political criticism, Üstel accused some opposition parties and trade unions of using the election period as an excuse and said they would have to account for their positions when the promised measures were implemented.

He also criticised the main opposition CTP, accusing it of pursuing what he described as “mudslinging politics” and claiming that the party was creating pessimism among the public.

Üstel said those who had failed to deliver projects or had obstructed investments and projects carried out with Turkey were now seeking to return to power.

He contrasted what he described as the record of previous administrations with that of the current UBP government, saying his government had secured resources despite global economic crises, paid salaries and producers’ outstanding payments on time, and implemented major projects.

“This country moves forward not with fine words, but by working and producing,” Üstel said.

He added that UBP represented “service, resources and investment,” while accusing CTP of leaving the country without investment and resources and of paying salaries in instalments.

“Our people know who works and who merely talks,” Üstel said, adding that the public would not be misled by what he described as “lies, slander and mudslinging politics.”

“We will continue working without slowing down on the path of serving the people,” Üstel said. “We are UBP. In the new term, we will once again be the party of government and stability.”
