The election process will officially begin on October 7, 2026. Political parties will have until October 27 to determine their candidates, while applications for candidacy will be submitted on October 30.
Candidates will be provisionally announced by the YSK and District Election Boards on October 31. Voter lists for polling stations will be posted on November 1 and remain available for inspection for seven days.
Candidacies will be finalised on November 8, followed by the official announcement of the final list of candidates by the YSK and District Election Boards on November 9. The drawing of lots will also be held under the supervision of the YSK on the same day.
Election campaigning will begin on November 10. Political parties wishing to campaign on BRT will have until November 15 to submit their applications to the YSK, while the deadline for finalising polling-station voter lists will be November 16.
Publication of opinion polls and election-related surveys will end after November 21. The distribution of voter cards and informational brochures will be completed by December 3.
Election campaigning will end on December 5, with voting for the General Election of Local Administrative Bodies taking place on Sunday, December 6, 2026.
