Savaşan: UBP Candidates to Be Chosen on October 24
UBP Secretary-General Ahmet Savaşan has announced that applications for candidacy in the December 6, 2026 parliamentary elections will open on October 5 and close on October 15. He said UBP members will determine the party’s parliamentary candidates and their ranking on the candidate lists in an election to be held on October 24.
The National Unity Party (UBP) is launching its candidate application process ahead of the parliamentary elections scheduled for December 6, 2026. UBP members will choose the party’s parliamentary candidates and determine their order on the lists in the October 24 election.
The UBP Central Executive Board decided to open the candidate application process for the December 6 parliamentary elections at a meeting chaired by party leader and Prime Minister Ünal Üstel.
In a written statement, UBP Secretary-General Ahmet Savaşan announced that applications for parliamentary candidacy will begin on October 5, 2026, and close at the end of working hours on October 15.
Savaşan said that once the application process is completed, UBP members will determine the party’s parliamentary candidates and their ranking on the candidate lists through the election to be held on October 24, 2026.
