Özersay: They Are Trying to Silence Us by Shutting Down Our Social Media Accounts Before the Election
People’s Party (HP) leader Kudret Özersay said his social media accounts had been shut down again over the past three days, alleging that attempts were being made to pressure his party and silence it ahead of the election.
In a statement, Özersay said: “They have left nothing standing in this country in the name of democracy. Because we speak out about their unlawful acts and corruption and inform the public, they do not want our voices to be heard. We will not bow to this pressure.”
Saying that the People’s Party was constantly among the public, Özersay added that he believed his party had a good understanding of public sentiment.
Özersay argued that the measures and interventions targeting the party’s social media accounts would backfire, declaring: “This system will not continue.”
