T&T Airport Operations, the company operating Ercan Airport, announced that it had transferred a total of 530,826,123 TL, including VAT, to the TRNC Finance Ministry for the third quarter of 2026, covering July, August and September.
The payment highlights the airport’s importance not only as a transport hub but also as a significant source of public revenue and economic activity.
T&T Board Chairman Emrullah Turanlı said investment at the airport would continue, describing it as more than just a transport centre for the TRNC.
“Ercan Airport is not merely a transport hub for the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus; it is also the lifeblood of the country’s economy and its largest gateway to the outside world,” Turanlı said.
T&T Airport Operations Deputy General Manager Dilek Conkbayır confirmed that 530,826,123.03 TL, including VAT, had been deposited into the TRNC treasury as the company’s revenue share for the July–September period of 2026.
Conkbayır said the payment represented a significant contribution to the TRNC in terms of both aviation services and economic activity.
