Erhürman: We Will Be in Antalya for COP31 Summit
President Tufan Erhürman said in a written statement that he had received an invitation from Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on July 14 to attend the COP31 Summit, which will be held in Antalya in November, confirming that they would be in the city on the relevant dates.
Erhürman’s statement reads as follows:
“I wanted to clarify the matter as questions have been coming in from members of the press.
“We received an invitation from Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on July 14 in connection with the COP31 Summit, which will be held in Antalya in November. We will be in Antalya on the relevant dates.
“According to what we have learned from the press, Mr Christodoulides has also announced that he will be there, as is customary.
“As we have always said, diplomacy and dialogue are always good.”
