The court ruled that the charges, including falsifying registration and grade entries, inciting the preparation of forged documents, and putting forged documents into circulation, had been proven beyond reasonable doubt.

In reaching its verdict, the court assessed witness testimony, telephone conversations, email correspondence and system records. It rejected Ünal’s defence that she had no knowledge of the transactions in question.

When determining the sentence, the court considered several mitigating factors, including Ünal’s lack of a criminal record, the fact that she was appearing before a court for the first time, and the presence of employees working under her.

After evaluating the evidence and mitigating circumstances, the Nicosia Assize Court sentenced Ünal to a total of five years in prison.
