The National Unity Party (UBP) has finalised its list of 50 parliamentary candidates ahead of the 2026 general election. Following the candidate selection process held on October 24, in which 8,929 party members participated, the announced list included 16 candidates from Nicosia, 12 from Famagusta, 12 from Kyrenia, five from İskele, three from Güzelyurt and two from Lefke.

In a statement, the UBP said the candidate selection process had attracted a record level of participation, adding that the party was preparing for the 2026 general election under the slogan “A Stronger TRNC Than Yesterday, Ready for Tomorrow.”

The statement noted that the list, shaped by the collective will of party members, had been finalised with the addition of gender quotas and party allocations. It said the party would present itself to the public with the aim of implementing new projects and leading the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus towards a stronger future, while emphasising unity and solidarity.

Reiterating its goal of securing a single-party government, the UBP wished the new term success for the party, the public and the country.
